We’re excited to have Kaitlyn join Mila, Nick, Patricia, and Charlie Blue in our Innovation and Research department as a Project Coordinator. Her bubbly energy and commitment to social change make her a great addition to our team!
At Georgia State, Kaitlyn worked closely with MakeShift Circus Collective on their most recent performance, Spectrum: A Gender Project, which provides community education around diverse gender identities. Most recently, Kaitlyn worked in higher education supporting food and housing insecure students, including projects focused on student well-being and assistance for student parents.
As a Project Coordinator at Healthy Teen Network, Kaitlyn coordinates meetings and events, monitors and provide guidance related to partner activities, serves as the liaison for external stakeholders, and triages training and technical assistance requests for multiple federally funded projects.
From community level youth-focused development to cross-cultural adolescent reproductive health education, Kaitlyn applies an ecological lens to her work and can be heard saying, “research-informed practice scratches my brain just right.”

She also supports evaluation, project management, and logistics of trauma-informed and inclusive research-to-practice and youth-friendly clinic initiatives.

We asked Kaitlyn what she wishes she had learned in sex ed growing up but didn’t, and she shared, “I wish that I had the space to have open and honest conversations with partners, friends, and trusted adults. Sex ed is more than quick reproductive health diagrams and scary photos of STI’s—conversations on boundaries, consent, healthy relationships, and menstrual cycles often felt shameful and taboo.”
In her free time, you can catch Kaitlyn participating in her favorite spring activities: paddle boarding and hanging out by the river with her pups!
