Healthy Teen Network is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to join our team. The Program Manager is a full-time, 12-month grant-funded position, expected to be renewed annually, contingent upon available funding.
This position will oversee the implementation of evidence-based, comprehensive sexuality education, a key component of the Advancing Health Equity: U Choose Clinics, Classrooms, and Communities (3-C) Project. U Choose 3-C focuses on adolescent sexual and reproductive health across Baltimore City and is funded by Baltimore City Health Department as part of a federally-funded initiative of the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Population Affairs.
This is a hybrid position embedded in Baltimore City Public Schools and requires working remotely two days per week and working in person three days per week at Baltimore City Public Schools District Office, 200 E. North Avenue. The Program Manager reports to the Director, Capacity Building at Healthy Teen Network and the Health & Physical Education Coordinator at Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS).
Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage project deliverables in collaboration with supervisors; use project management applications, such as Asana, to manage tasks, assignees, hours, and deadlines
- Develop and monitor contracts, budgets, and reports with supervisors
- Coordinate purchasing supplies and materials with BCPS-approved vendors
- Plan, participate in, and facilitate in-person and online meetings and professional development opportunities for BCPS staff
- Develop and maintain instructional designs, materials, and resources; secure subject-matter experts and presenters for professional development events
- Develop and implement training and technical assistance/coaching plans
- Support evaluation activities
- Support development, deployment, and monitoring of social media activities
- Represent and promote Healthy Teen Network, BCPS, and/or the U Choose Program at conferences, school events, and partner meetings
- Participate in professional development
- Travel requirements:
- Three days per week to BCPS District Office, 200 E. North Ave, Baltimore, MD 21202, as well as BCPS schools and partner sites throughout Baltimore City
- Up to three consecutive days throughout Maryland (2-3 times per year)
- Up to five (5) consecutive days annually, multiple times, to various locations in the U.S. for project deliverables and the Healthy Teen Network Conference
- Complete additional duties, as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred, in public health, education, social sciences, or related field
- Five to seven years of experience managing projects and/or events
- At least five years of work experience in the adolescent sexual and reproductive health field (preferred)
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and principles
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Content knowledge in adolescent sexual and reproductive health
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to tend to multiple projects at once
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in teams
- Knowledge and familiarity with the Internet and web-based resources
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
- Knowledge and familiarity with project management programs such as Asana, polling apps, scheduling apps, and event registration software, preferred
- Flexibility to change priorities as required
Additional Requirements
- All candidates must complete BCPS hiring requirements including submitting a criminal background check and fingerprinting. Candidates are responsible for the cost of this service; Healthy Teen Network will not reimburse for expenses incurred.
- Ability to work occasionally in the evening and on weekends.
Compensation
Healthy Teen Network offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage; a 401K plan; and generous Federal holidays and vacation and sick leave. This position is considered an exempt employee. Salary range is $58,000-$75,000.
Location
The Project Manager position is a hybrid position, working 2 days remotely and 3 days in person at Baltimore City Public Schools District Office, 200 E. North Ave, Baltimore, MD 21202, and throughout Baltimore City. This position will be required to travel up to three consecutive days throughout Maryland (2-3 times per year) and up to five (5) consecutive days annually, multiple times, to locations in the U.S. for project deliverables and the Healthy Teen Network Conference.
Core Work Hours
Healthy Teen Network has a 35-hour work week. Staff schedules may vary, but all staff are expected to be available during core work hours. Core work hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 AM to 2:00 pm ET, Friday. During this time frame, employees are expected to be available for meetings and other collaborative activities. Core work hours facilitate coordination and collaboration among team members, as we work across time zones and allow for flexible schedules.
